From everyday ware to high fashion, the costume collection ranges in date from the 18th century to the present day. Donations include unusual items such as a Quaker bonnet and dress. There is even a pair of Doctor Martin boots belong to a former employee of the Museum!
Female fashion is well represented in the form of Victorian day dresses, evening gowns, and underclothes. There are accessories including muffs, furs, purses, fans and bags. 
Not forgetting male attire, there are finely embroidered men's waistcoats dating from the18-19th centuries and a range of babies clothes including christening robes, day dresses and bonnets.
